Rebecca is dedicated to creating theatrical and site-specific dance while cultivating diverse audiences through collaborations and educational programs. She develops performances on a project basis with a consistent group of dancers and designers. Current collaborators include preeminent dancers Asli Bulbul, Pierre Guilbault, Cori Kresge, Jennifer Lafferty, Rashaun Mitchell, Christopher Ralph, Silas Riener, and Anna Schon; in addition to award winning lighting designers Aaron Copp and Davison Scandrett and costume designer Mary Jo Mecca.
Rebecca’s choreography has roots in experimental, contemporary, post-modern, modern and classical dance and is often innervated by original music commissions and significant musical works that have ranged from Pytor Tchaikovsky and Arnold Schoenberg to Paul Lansky. Rebecca has collaborated with composers Shane Shanahan, Jody Elff, Fred Ho, Michael Wall, Becet Mehmet Ates, Daniel Trueman, Paul Lansky and theater directors Bartlett Sher and Ron Bashford.
Her projects have been performed in many New York venues including Danspace Project, The Kitchen, Guggenheim Museum, 92nd Street Y, Joyce SoHo, and Movement Research at the Judson Church; performed nationally in Boston, Chicago, Princeton, The Yard, and Los Angeles and internationally in Canada, Russia and Turkey.
