"There Might Be Others" Premiere

  • New York Live Arts New York, NY USA (map)

"For her New York Live Arts debut, Lazier has gone big, supported by Trueman and all their performers in making a gutsy, unforgettable mark in this historic theater. It’s unfortunate to have to say how exciting it is to see a woman choreographer work at this pitch for her first time in this space, but there it is." —Eva Yaa Asantewaa

Years ago I gave up the idea that my work would be seen widely. Amidst recurrent disappointments I realized the energy spent chasing opportunities was better spent in the studio. So to wake up today and realize that 20 years of self producing has quite suddenly, unexpectedly, brought me to New York Live Arts in the company of some of the finest artists in the world is quite frankly astonishing, disorienting, and humbling. Thank you to all of the people who we met, worked with, drank with, danced with, and played with along the way. This piece of collective composition is now released into the hands and bodies of these glorious author/performers.
